Lock bolt collars are precision-engineered fastening components designed to be used with lock bolts (sold separately) to create permanent, high-strength joints. When installed, the collar swages onto the lock bolt’s grooves, securing the assembly and providing exceptional clamping force.

The Lockbolt System
A two-piece fastening system consisting of a lock bolt and a lock bolt collar. During installation:

  1. The lock bolt is inserted through pre-drilled holes in the workpieces

  2. The collar is placed over the protruding end of the lock bolt

  3. A specialized installation tool pulls the bolt while swaging the collar into the bolt’s locking grooves

  4. The pintail (pull end) of the lock bolt breaks off flush with the collar, creating a permanent, vibration-resistant connection
