Category

Spring pins, also known as slotted spring pins, roll pins, or tension pins, are headless hollow cylindrical fasteners with a longitudinal slot running the full length of the pin. They are designed to be installed into holes slightly smaller than the pin’s outside diameter. During insertion, the pin compresses against the hole wall, creating continuous radial tension that secures the pin in place and prevents loosening under vibration or shock.

  • Stainless Steel: Available in various grades including 302, 304, 316, and 420 stainless steel

    • Type 302/304 austenitic stainless steel offers good corrosion resistance for general applications

    • Type 420 martensitic stainless steel provides higher strength and fatigue resistance

  • Spring Steel (Carbon Steel): Supplied in plain finish or with zinc plating for corrosion protection
