Wheel Stud

  • Carbon Steel, Alloy Steel, Stainless Steel
  • Various Surface Treatments
  • Class 8.8, 10.9, 12.9

Category

Wheel studs are threaded fasteners designed to mount wheels securely to the vehicle hub. They are press-fit or threaded into the hub assembly, passing through the brake drum or rotor, and paired with lug nuts to lock the wheel in place. As a critical safety component, they must withstand high clamping loads and dynamic shear stresses.

Materials

  • Carbon Steel & Alloy Steel: Grades 1035, 1045, 40Cr, 35CrMo, etc., for high-strength requirements.

  • Stainless Steel: Grades 304, 316 for corrosion-resistant applications.

  • Special Alloys: Available upon request for customized or heavy-duty applications.

Surface Treatments

  • Electroplating: Zinc, Nickel, Chrome (with clear or yellow passivation).

  • High-Performance Coatings: Dacromet / Geomet for superior corrosion resistance and hydrogen embrittlement-free protection.

  • Other Finishes: Black Oxide, Phosphating, Hot-Dip Galvanizing.

Property Classes

  • Standard Grades: 8.8

  • High-Strength Grades: 10.9, 12.9 (Recommended for heavy-duty vehicles and high-performance applications)
